Yes, placegetters will be awarded based on gun time rather than the adjusted time for each run (net time). If any runner want to place in this event, they must start in the first wave. Medals will be presented to place getters from the stage post race.

*Racing wheelchair placegetters will be presented with a medal on race day, and a trophy will be posted to them after the event.

How will I be timed on day?

All runners in the Marathon, Half Marathon, 10k and 5k races will be timed. If you wish to receive a finishing time, all participants must wear their race bib. Your Race Bib contains a disposable timing chip, if you don’t wear your bib, you won’t receive an official time.

Please wear your race bib on the front of your top and ensure it is visible.

Where can I find my results?

Live results will be available online from 6pm on race day and from the Sole Motive App. Simply search 'Sole Motive' in your app store, then tap the 'Brighton Beach Marathon 2026' tile to find your results.

Participants who have nominated to receive SMS results and have paid an additional $2.50 will receive their results SMS on the evening of the event, and finishers will receive a certificate via email.

    What is net time?

Net time is the time the participant crosses the start line until they cross the finish line. This is how results are displayed on the website.
