COURSE MAP
The Marathon will start on Beach Road at Green Point, Brighton. The marathon will complete two laps of its assigned course.

GENERAL INFORMATION
Age Limits
Participants must be 18 years + on race day.
Start Line
Beach Road at Green Point, Brighton
Marathon Racing Wheelchair starts: 5:55am
Marathon starts 6:00am
Marathon start closes 6:20am
Priority Start
Male participants who run under 3h 15min, and female participants who run under 3h 30min qualify for a priority start.
Please apply in the registration process.
Marathon Road Cut Off
Marathon road cut off 11am
6:20am - All participants must have crossed the start line
9:45am - Clear southern turnaround (32km)
10:15am - Reached Clock Tower (36km)
10:35am - Clear Bay Road (39km)
12:30pm - All participants must have crossed the Finish Line (42.2km)
All runners must be off the roads by 11:00am.
INFORMATION FOR 5HR+ MARATHON RUNNERS
If a runner does not make the road cutoff at 11:00am they will be required to run the remainder along the footpath to the finish line. The redirected course on the footpaths is not measured to AIMS standards which means if you do not cross the finish line by 11:00am, your race will not be AIMS-certified. Runners will still receive an official time, finishers T-shirt and a finisher medal.
Split Times
The timing system will record the 21.095km (halfway) split time.
Marathon Wave Start Times
5:55am - Wheelchair wave
6:00am - Priority and Wave A:
Priority: Male runners aiming to finish the race in under 3hr 15min and female runners aiming to finish the race in under 3hr 30min.
Wave A: This is for runners aiming to finish the race under 4hrs.
6:03am - Wave B:
This is for runners aiming to finish the race over 4hrs.
6:20am - Start line closes
**Please note that the Marathon is a two lap course.

Racing Wheelchair:If you are a racing wheelchair please contact timing@solemotive.com to secure your spot. The racing wheelchair wave will start approximately 5 minutes before the official Half Marathon start – 5:55am. Please be at the start line no later than 5:35am.
Non Racing Wheelchair:Sole Motive accommodates wheelchairs in our event. If you’re not a Racing Wheelchair Athlete, please start at the back of the final wave in your event.
Will there be an awards ceremony at the end of the event and how will the top 3 place getters be awarded?
Yes, placegetters will be awarded based on gun time rather the adjusted time for each run (net time). If any runner wants to place in this event, they must start in the first wave. Medals will be presented to place getters from the stage post race.
