I love being a pacer because it shifts the focus from my ownrun to the collective journey. My personal finish timebecomes irrelevant; my goal is now the success of others. There's a profound joy in holding a steady rhythm forsomeone to lean on, in offering a word of encouragementwhen they doubt themselves, and in finally seeing the reliefand pride on their face when they cross the line, hitting a goalthey thought was out of reach. It transforms running from asolo sport into a shared, human experience.

I became a pacer because I love helping runners enjoy raceday and believe in themselves. Whether someone is chasinga PB or simply aiming to hold a steady pace to the finish, Ienjoy being a calm, positive presence in the pack. Carman’sFun Run is all about community, fun and purpose, and beingpart of an event that supports BCNA makes pacing hereespecially meaningful.
I have completed over 30 pacing efforts acrossparkruns andofficial races, including half marathons, a marathon and a10km event. I take pacing seriously and prepare thoroughly, focusing on even pacing, clear communication andencouragement. My goal is always to help runners relax, trustthe pace and surprise themselves on race day.

I decided to be a pacer because I genuinely enjoy helpingothers achieve their personal bests. Being a pacer atCarman’s Fun Run allows me to support fellow runners inchasing their goals, and it’s incredibly rewarding to be part ofsomeone’s PB journey. It’s also a great way for me to giveback to the running community that has supported me overthe years.
In 2025, I was a pacer at Carman’s Fun Run, and it was afantastic experience. I’ve also paced at several other events, including Run Melbourne, the Melbourne Marathon, the 2XUWellness Run, as well as a few localparkruns.

I find a lot ofjoy in encouraging others, whether they’re chasing a PB orsimply aiming to finish strong. I recently paced the 30-minute5km at the Beyond Blue 2XU Wellness Run and loved theexperience of supporting runners along the way.
