    Push your pace on Canberra’s flat, fast and scenic 10K course. Head out along Flynn Drive and onto lakeside Alexandrina Drive, then make your way back toward the striking silhouette of Parliament House. Finish with a burst down King Edward Terrace, where the celebrations begin.

    Age limits

    Participants must be 12 years + on race day.

     

    Start line

    King George Terrace, Parkes

    10K starts: 7:00am

    10K start closes: 7:30am

     

    Priority Start

    Any participant who plans on running under 4min/km can apply for a priority start at the front of the start.Please upload your "proof of results when you register".

     

    10K Wave Start Times

    6:50am - Wheelchair wave

     

    7:00am - Priority:

    Priority: Male runners aiming to finish the race in under 40mins and female runners aiming to finish the race in under 42min.

     

    7:00am - Wave A:

    This is for runners aiming to finish the race in under 55mins.

     

    7:05am - Wave B:

    This is for runners aiming to finish the race between 56mins-60mins.

     

    7:10am - Wave C:

    This is for runners aiming to finish the race between 61mins-70mins.

     

    7:15am - Wave D:

    This is for runners aiming to finish the race in over 71mins.

     

    7:30am - Start line closes

     

    Runner's World 10K road cut off

    Drink stations

    Located approximately every 2.5km on the course.

    Please note that FIXX Nutrition is the electrolyte supplier.

    • All Pace Group Leaders will be identifiable in event gear with a flag and their particular pace time clearly visible on their race bib.

    Clothing storage

    Clothing storage is available during the run/walk. Your race number features a tear-off strip for you to attach to your backpack or clothing bag. Do not leave any valuables in your bag as we cannot accept responsibility for valuables lost or stolen. 

     

    We no longer offer single-use plastic bags at the bag drop, so please remember to bring your own bag to the event.

    Clothes left on barriers at start line

    All clothes that have been left on barriers at the start line will be collected and donated to charity.

     

    Will there be an awards ceremony at the end of the event and how will the top 3 place getters be awarded?

    Yes, place getters will be awarded based on gun time rather than the adjusted time for each run (net time). Trophies and prizes will be presented to participants post-race.

    NOTE: Age group medals will be posted to the Top 3 placegetters in the following age groups 2-3 weeks after the event.

     

    10km:Under 12; 12-15; 16-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-79; 80+

     

    Trophies and monetary prizes will be awarded to overall 1st, 2nd, 3rd male and female place getters.

    Male - 1st $500, 2nd $300, 3rd $150
