    Take on 21.1K through Australia's capital.

     

    The race begins outside Old Parliament House before heading around the Parliamentary Triangle, past Old and New Parliament House and into Barton. From there, runners continue along Brisbane Avenue and onto Adelaide Avenue.

     

    The course follows Adelaide Avenue for an out-and-back into the green surrounds of Yarralumla, before joining Alexandrina Drive for a stretch alongside Lake Burley Griffin.

     

    The final kilometres bring runners back towards State Circle, through Brisbane Avenue and onto King Edward Terrace, where the supporters cheer you home as you cross the finish line and celebrate everything it took to get there.

    Participants must be 16 years + on race day.

    King George Terrace, Parkes

    Half Marathon starts: 7:15am

    Half Marathon start closes: 7:45am

     

    Priority Start

    Any participant who plans on running under 4min/km can apply for a priority start at the front of the start. Please upload your "proof of results when you register".

     

    Wave Start Times

    7:05am - Wheelchair wave

     

    7:15am - Priority:

    For male runners aiming to finish in under 1hr 25mins and female runners under 1hr 30mins.

     

    7:15am - Wave A:

    For runners aiming to finish in under 1hr 50mins.

     

    7:20am - Wave B:

    For runners aiming to finish between 1hr 51min-2hr 5min.

     

    7:25am - Wave C:

    For runners aiming to finish between 2hr 6min-2hr 15min.

     

    7:30am - Wave D:

    For runners aiming to finish in over 2hrs 16min.

     

    7:45am - Start line closes

     

    Road Cut Off

    12:45pm - All participants must have reached Flynn Drive and King Edward Terrace (15.5km)

    Located approximately every 2.5km - 4.5km on the course.

     

    Please note that FIXX Nutrition is the electrolyte and Gu is the gel supplier.

    Shuttle Bus Service

    The Shuttle Bus Service is only available on Sunday, 11 April 2027 for Marathon and Half Marathon participants.

     

    There is limited parking near the event village and start line locations. There will be a shuttle bus service operating between Braddon and Commonwealth Avenue* to assist participants who want to avoid traffic congestion. The shuttle bus is $15 each way and can be booked through your registration.
     
    Options for all distances from Braddon (exact location to be confirmed) to Commonwealth Avenue (Across from Albert Hall):
    4:45am - Suitable for marathon participants
    5:45am - Suitable for half marathon participants
     
    Return shuttle buses from Commonwealth Avenue(adjacent to Albert Hall) to Braddon (location to be confirmed):

    *Please note that there are no stops between Braddon and Commonwealth Avenue. The drop off point at Commonwealth Avenue is a 700m walk from the event village and start line locations.
     
    **The cut off to register for the shuttle bus service is 11:59PM 23 March 2027.
     

    Pace Leaders

    Pace groups: 1hr 25mins, 1hr 30mins, 1hr 35mins, 1hr 40mins, 1hr 45mins, 1hr 50mins, 2hrs, 2hrs 10mins, 2hrs 20mins
     
    • All Pace Group Leaders will be identifiable in event gear with a flag and their particular pace time clearly visible on their race bib.

    Awards Ceremony

    Place getters will be awarded based on gun time rather than the adjusted time for each run (net time). Trophies and prizes will be presented to participants post-race.

     

    NOTE: Age group medals will be posted to the Top 3 placegetters in the following age groups 2-3 weeks after the event

     

    Half Marathon: 16-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74; 75-79; 80-84; 85+

     

    Trophies and Monetary Prizes

    Trophies and monetary prizes will be awarded to overall 1st, 2nd, 3rd male and female place getters.
