Registrations
The following age limits apply for Canberra Fun Run:
If you register for the event before11:59pm Thursday, 25 September 2025 your first name will be printed on your race bib.
Please note: You must select postage.
Children under four years of age are not required to pay the entry fee, however for safety and insurance reasons you will be required to provide details in the registration process.
Online entries will remain open until 30mins prior to each race.

You don’t have to notify Sole Motive (the organiser) if you are unable to run for any reason. However, there are no refunds for non-starters or non-finishers.
We do offer the following:
T&C #15. I agree that there are no refunds, however, I may request a credit note for other SM owned events (minus $10 for admin fees) no later than 5pm, one month prior to the event. After this date, no credit notes will be issued. Credit notes will not be issued when downgrading distances. Credit notes will be valid for SM owned events and cannot be used for contracted events. Credit notes are valid for 1 year from the date of issuing.
Please note: if you have entered with an event credit we are not able to issue another event credit.
Change of Distance:
You can change your distance online up until event day Sunday 2 November 2025. Use thislink. Refunds/credit notes cannot be issued for the difference in entry fee (if any) when downgrading your distance.

Please ensure you have checked your junk/spam folder for your confirmation email (e-ticket). If you can still not locate it, you can log via Race Roster and choose to resend your registration email.
Yes, please click here and follow the prompts to Transfer to a new participant – this will incur a $10 transfer fee. Name Transfers end 11:59pm October 30th. Name Transfers will not be permitted on event weekend.
You can register in person at the Event Village at Rond Terrace on Saturday, 1 November between 11am - 4pm.
All entrants to the Half Marathon, 10K and 2K Kids run, can enter at the Event Village in Rond Terrace on event day Sunday, 2 November from 5:30am.
Entrants to the Runner's World 5K can enter at the start line on King George Terrace from 8am.
Race Bibs & Merchandise
There are two options to collect your race bib:
Option 1 – Postage:
If you wish to have your race bib posted to you, you must register before 11:59pm, 16 October 2025. Please note, a delivery fee of $8.95 applies.
Option 2 – Pickup at the event site:
All participants can collect their Race Bib at the event site on Saturday 1 November 11am - 4pm.
All Half Marathon, 10K and 2K kids participants can collect their Race Bib on event day Sunday 2 November from 5:30am at Rond Terrace for all.
All 5K participants will have to collect their Race Bib from their start line on King George Terrace on event day Sunday 2 November from 8am.
An e-ticket will be emailed to you 3-5 days prior to the event. You will need to show this e-ticket at the race bib collection areas when you collect your bib. The ticket can either be printed out, or you can show it on your phone. Note: If someone else is picking up your bib for you on your behalf, they will need to show your e-ticket upon collection.
Merchandise will not be mailed out.
All pre-ordered merchandise will be available for collection from the Event Village (Rond Terrace, Parkes) on Saturday November 1st from 11am to 4 pm or Sunday November 2nd from 5:30am.
Results
Yes, placegetters will be awarded based on gun time rather the adjusted time for each run (net time). If any runner wants to place in this event, they must start in the first wave. Trophies will be presents to participants post-race. Approximately 30mins after the winner of each distance finishes.
Only first place place getters receive a trophy in the wheelchair category for each distance.
The 2K Kids does not award placegetters, all 2K kids participants receive a medal after completing the event.
*Racing wheelchair placegetters will be presented with a medal on race day, and a trophy will be posted to them after the event.

Half Marathon and 10K:
Male - 1st $250, 2nd $125, 3rd $75

All runners in the Half-Marathon, 10k, 5k and 2k Kids races will be timed. If you wish to receive a finishing time all participants must wear their Race Bib. Your Race Bib contains a disposable timing chip, if you don’t wear your bib, you won’t receive an official time.
Please wear your race bib on the front of your top and ensure it is visible.
Unofficial results are live as you cross the finish line. Official results are available online from 5pm.
Participants who have nominated to receive SMS results and have paid an additional $2.50 will receive two SMS messages, one as they cross the finish line and then a second text with their official time around midday, and finishers will receive a certificate via email.
Net time is the time the participant crosses the start line until they cross the finish line. This is how results are displayed on the website. These times are for participant information only and are not used to determine place getters. Placegetters are determined by gun time – the first three male and females across the finish line.
On Course
Public and portable toilets are located at the Event Village as well as at a first aid post. Please refer to relevant distance page for on course toilet and drink station locations.
We strongly discourage the use of headphones on the course. If you do choose to use headphones while running, please ensure that you are still able to hear what is happening around you.
No personal support riders or bike riders within the vicinity of runners are permitted on course. It is the responsibility of each athlete while running to ensure that no bikes are on the course near the runners. Any transgression will result in disqualification from the event.
Prams are permitted in all events – please start at the back of your wave for safety reasons.
If you are running to lend a helping hand, to someone who is unable to participate without you, then please email an image of their companion card along with the event name to info@solemotive.com
All animals are strictly prohibited from entering any part of the course at any time. However, we welcome dogs on leads in the event village.
Accessibility
Racing Wheelchair:If you are in a racing wheelchair please contact timing@solemotive.com to secure your spot. The racing wheelchair wave will start approximately 5 minutes before the official start for each distance. For example, for the Half Marathon, the racing wheelchair start will be at 6:25am. Please be at the start line no later than 10 minutes before the Racing wheelchair start - e.g. 6.15am.
Non Racing Wheelchair:Sole Motive accommodates wheelchairs in our event. If you’re not a Racing Wheelchair Athlete, please start at the back of the final wave in your event.
All distance courses are fully accessible. The course is a combination of road, footpath, grass and gravel. Please note that the start line of the half marathon, 10km and 2k kids' event is on grass for 100m before you move onto footpath. The finish line for all distances is on a fine gravel.
Accessible toilets are at the Event Village at Rond Terrace and at the start line of the Runner's World 5km on King George Terrace. There are additional public toilets with accessible toilets located 250m from the event village at Rond Terrace.
We award trophies to first place only in the half marathon, 10km and 5km for wheelchair categories. All finishing participants get a finishers medal.

Yes! You can follow your friends or family around the course via a Live Tracking link that will be available closer to the event.
Please note: Participants will only appear in search results in the search results for tracking once they have picked up their race bib.
PARKING
Car Parking is available within walking distance to the race Start and Finish Areas.
We encourage participants and spectators to car pool to the event village if driving.
Half Marathon/10K/2K Start Area, Finish Line and Event Village
Parking will be available at Russell Offices car park a 1km walk from site at Rond Terrace,
please allow 15 minutes to walk to site and please ensure you are crossing roads at traffic
lights.
Kings Ave North & Kings Ave South will be open and available.
Parking is available at CIT Car Parks.
Alternatively, Regatta Point car park will also be open.
5K Start Area
Treasury Building – Accessed from Flynn Drive and Langton Crescent.
Langton Car park open - Accessed from Langton Crescent.
National Library Car Park – Accessed from King Edward Terrace.
All attendees to the Canberra Times Fun Run should be aware that it is an offence under the
National Land (Road Transport) Ordinance 2014 to park a vehicle on open space in the area
where the Canberra Times Fun Run is being held. Open space is any area that is not
designed for the movement or parking of motor vehicles, such as grassed areas, footpaths
and landscaped areas. The National Capital Authority will be enforcing parking regulations
for the duration of this event, and attendees should ensure they park legally to avoid the
risk of an infringement being issued to their vehicle.
Bike
Sole Motive will provide plenty of bike parking at the event site. Please make sure to bring
your own lock to ensure your bike is secure.
Public transport
Due to the early start time for the event and the enforced road closures, please visit
Transport Canberra for up-to-date information and to plan your trip for event day.

Road closure information will be available closer to the event.
If you are in the Half Marathon or 10K event, bag drop is available at the event village at Rond Terrace. For all participants of the 5K bag drop is available for you at the start line on King George Terrace, a truck will take your bags back to bag drop in the Event Village at Rond Terrace
Please do not leave valuables in your bag. Sole Motive accepts no responsibility for lost or stolen items. Attach the tear-off strip on the bottom of your race bib to your bag. Keep your race bib so that you can collect your bag post-event.
Please note, we have cut down on single-use plastics and will not be providing plastic bags to put belongings in at the Bag Drop Marquee. Please remember to bring your own bag to the event.
We will provide a bus service to take 5km runners from the finish line at Rond Terrace back to the Treasury Building Car Park. This service will run between 10.30am - 11.30am.
Yes! We are excited to have pacers back at The Canberra Times Fun Run. Sole Motive has experienced runners that will pace you to come in around your goal time.
For ease of visibility, the pacers will have the pace time on their bib on their back and a flag above their head with their pace time.
Please see the table below on the paces that are available and where the pacers can be found at the start line. They will start their watches and pace you once you have crossed the start line – this is known as net time.
10K
Half Marathon
Participants can meet the pace leaders at the stage area 30 minutes before the start time for their distance. The pace leaders will have a flag attached to them with their pacing time witten on it for participants to look out for.
To carry out the pace runner role you’ll need to be able to comfortably run the pace you’ve nominated for.
You also need to be prepared to offer encouragement and motivate runners in your pack.
Sole Motive will cover the costs of entry fees for all pacers, and all pace runners will receive a free t-shirt/singlet.
