If you want to challenge yourself past 10K, take on this two lap course that will take you down open roads past some of Canberra’s iconic landmarks including both new and old parliament house.
The event village is your go-to spot for relaxation and entertainment for runners post race, and for supporting families and friends throughout morning.

General Information
Age Limits
Participants must be 16 years + on race day.
Start Line
Rond Terrace, Parkes
Half Marathon starts 6:30am
Half Marathon start closes 6:35am
Priority Start
Any participant who plans on running under 4min/km can apply for a priority start at the front of the start.
You will be asked to provide a link to a past result, to support your request, during the entry process.
Will there be an awards ceremony at the end of the event and how will the top 3 place getters be awarded?
Yes, placegetters will be awarded based on gun time rather the adjusted time for each run (net time). If any runner wants to place in this event, they must start in the first wave. Trophies will be presents to participants post-race, approximately 30mins after the winner of each distance finishes.
Half Marathon Road Cut off
All participants need to be at the 20km mark by 10:45am.
If participants do not make road cut off times they will be allowed to complete the course on the footpaths.
Drink Stations
Located approximately every 2.5km - 3km on the course.
Participant Instructions
Instructions will be available closer to the event date.
Clothing Storage
Clothing storage is available during the run/walk. Your race number features a tear-off strip for you to attach to your backpack or clothing bag. Do not leave any valuables in your bag as we cannot accept responsibility for valuables lost or stolen.
We no longer offer single-use plastic bags at the bag drop, so please remember to bring your own bag to the event.

Wheelchair Information
Racing Wheelchair:If you are a racing wheelchair please contact timing@solemotive.com to secure your spot. The racing wheelchair wave will start approximately 5 minutes before the official Half Marathon start – at 6:25am. Please be at the start line no later than 6:15am
Non Racing Wheelchair:Sole Motive accommodates wheelchairs in our event. If you’re not a Racing Wheelchair Athlete, please start at the back of the final wave in your event.
