Perfect for our youngest runners, the Kids Dash takes place around the iconic Hanging Rock Racecourse. With a flat and friendly course, it’s a great opportunity for the next generation of runners to experience all the excitement of race day. Surrounded by the beautiful scenery of Hanging Rock, young runners can soak up the atmosphere, enjoy the cheers from family and friends, and experience the special feeling of proudly crossing the finish line.

Participants must be between 2yrs - 14yrs old on race day to enter.
Children under 6 years of age must be accompanied by an adult (no charge).
Location: Straws Lane
Start time: 8:45am
Start line closes: 8:55am
All participants must have crossed the finish line by 12:00pm.
A water station is location at the 1km mark on the course.
Event Guide will be available for download closer to the event.
Yes, placegetters will be awarded based on gun time rather than the adjusted time for each run (net time). If any runner wants to place in this event, they must start in the first wave. The top 3 place getters in men and women will receive a medal and prize pack post-race.
Yes, all participants in the Kids Dash will receive an event medal at the completion of the event.
You can order a MiTime in the entry process if you would like it engraved with your finish time. (You will receive this approx. 2 weeks after the event).
Take the hard work out of getting there and let us do the driving for you. We are offering a return bus to the event from Richmond Station for $49 and a one way bus for $28.
The bus will leave Richmond Station at 6:15am, getting you to the Event Village at around 7:30am.
The bus will leave the Event Village at 12:15pm, returning to Richmond Station around 2:00pm.
