The following age limits apply for Portsea Twilight:
8km - All children aged 8-12 must be accompanied by a guardian. The child's guardian must be entered in the event.
4km - All children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by a guardian. The child's guardian must be entered in the event.
If you register for the event before11:59pm Sunday, 5 December 2021 and ONLY if you select postage are you able to receive a personalised bib.
In the registration process you will be asked to put in your preferred name.
Children under four years of age are not required to pay the entry fee, however, for safety and insurance reasons you will be required to provide details in the registration process.

You don’t have to notify Sole Motive (the organiser) if you are unable to run for any reason. However, there are no refunds for non-starters or non-finishers.
We do offer the following:
T&C #15. I agree that there are no refunds, however, I may request a credit note for other SM owned events (minus $10 for admin fees) no later than 5pm, Friday one month prior to the event date. After this date, no credit notes will be issued. Credit notes will not be issued when downgrading distances. Credit notes will be valid for SM owned events and cannot be used for contracted events. Credit notes are valid for 1 year from the date of issuing.
Event upgrades/downgrades can be made online up until Thursday, 6 January. Use this link.
Refunds/credit notes cannot be issued for the difference in entry fee (if any) when downgrading your distance.
If you change your distance then you can use your existing race bib for your new distance.
Yes you can enter at the Event Village Jarman Oval, Point Nepean National Park onSaturday 8 January from 9am.
Public and portable toilets are located at the Event Village as well as at a first aid post.Please refer to relevant distance page for on course toilet and drink station locations.
We strongly discourage the use of headphones on the course. If you do choose to use headphones while running, please ensure that you are still able to hear what is happening around you.
No personal support riders or bike riders within the vicinity of runners are permitted on course. It is the responsibility of each athlete while running to ensure that no bikes are on the course near the runners. Any transgression will result in disqualification from the event.
Prams are permitted in all events – please start at the back of your wave for safety reasons.
All animals are strictly prohibited from entering any part of thePoint Nepean National Park.For this event we ask that you leave your pets at home.
Drive to the end of Point Nepean Road, Portsea and into the entrance of Point Nepean National Park. Please follow the directional signage past the VisitorCentre and continue alongDefence Road. Sole Motive event marshals will direct you to park your car onJarman Oval.
Free parking is available at Jarman Oval. The car park opens at 3:30pm – please allow 45mins to park your car. Please expect that there will be queues when parking at the event.
Please note: there is no parking on Defence Road – parking fines will be enforced.
Portsea Passenger Service operates Route 788 from Frankston via Rosebud, with a bus stop located at the entrance of Point Nepean National Park.
Sole Motive will provide plenty of bike parking at the event site. Please make sure to bring your own lock to ensure your bike is secure.
Bus (NEW SERVICE)
Take the hard work out of getting there and let us do the driving for you. We are offering a return bus to the event from Richmond Station for $40. The bus will leave Richmond Station at 2pm getting you to the Event Village at around 4pm and will leave at the end of the event between 8.30 - 9pm returning to Richmond Station around 10.30pm

There are no road closures for this event.
Defence Road in Point Nepean National Park can get banked up so please allow plenty of time to get to the start line.
Bag drop is available in the Event Village.
Your race number features a tear-off strip for you to attach to your backpack or clothing bag. Do not leave any valuables in your bag as we cannot accept responsibility for valuables lost or stolen.
Please note, we have cut down on single-use plastics and will not be providing plastic bags to put belongings in at the Bag Drop Marquee. Please remember to bring your own bag to the event.
There are two options to collect your race kit:
Option 1 – Postage:
If you wish to have your race pack posted to you, you must register before 11:59pm, 15 December 2022. Please note, a delivery fee of $8.95 applies.
Option 2 – Pickup:
At the event site - all participants can collect their Race Pack at the event site onSaturday8 January2022 from 9am.
For the purpose of Race Bib collection, please make sure you bring your e-ticket with your Race Bib number on it.
The 2022 Portsea Twilight is scheduled to take place on 8 January 2022. Please refer to the FAQs below for more information on measures in place to ensure the Portsea Twilight is a COVID-19 safe event.
We will monitor and adhere to any restrictions set by the State Government and Health Authorities and will update participants should there be any change to the event. Major updates (such as a postponement) will be shared with participants via email, on our website, and on the Facebook Event Page.
All other updates will be shared on our website.
Registered participants for events that are postponed due to COVID-19 by the state or local health authorities are automatically transferred to the rescheduled date. For those that the new date does not work, we will allow deferrals to the event in the following year.

Any affected participants will be offered an event credit to the value of their entry (including additional purchases).
Yes, placegetters will be awarded based on gun time rather than the adjusted time for each run (net time).
Trophies will be presented to participants post-race. Approximately 30 mins after the winner of each distance finishes.
All runners will be timed. If you wish to receive a finishing time all participants must wear their RACE BIB. Your Race Bib contains a disposable timing chip, if you don’t wear your bib, you won’t receive an official time.
Please wear your race bib on the front of your top and ensure it is visible
Unofficial results are live as you cross the finish line. Official results are available online from 10pm.
Participants who have nominated to receive SMS results and have paid an additional $2 will receive two SMS messages, one as they cross the finish line and then a second text will with their official time around midday, and finishers will receive a certificate via email.
Net time is the time the participant crosses the start line until they cross the finish line. This is how results are displayed on the website, and will be used to award aged category places.
These times are for participant information only and are not used to determine place getters. Placegetters are determined by gun time – the first three male and females across the finish line.
