More scenic and built for big race-day moments, the new routes take you past the War Memorial and up Anzac Parade.
You’ll still have the thrill of running on the closed roads of the Parliamentary Triangle and along Lake Burley Griffin, passing Canberra’s most iconic landmarks, including Old and New Parliament House.

Age limits
Participants must be 16 years + on race day.

Priority Start
Any participant who plans on running under 4min/km can apply for a priority start at the front of the start. Please upload your "proof of results when you register".

7:05am - Wheelchair wave
7:15am - Priority and Wave A:
This is for runners aiming to finish the race in under 1hr 50min.
7:20am - Wave B:
This is for runners aiming to finish the race between 1hr 51min-2hr 5min.
7:25am - Wave C:
This is for runners aiming to finish the race between 2hr 6min-2hr 15min.
7:30am - Wave D:
This is for runners aiming to finish the race in over 2hrs 16min.
7:55am - Start line closes

The timing system will record the 10.095km (halfway) split time

Located approximately every 2.5km - 3km on the course.
Please note that FIXX Nutrition is the electrolyte and Gu is the gel supplier.

Clothes left on barriers at start line
All clothes that have been left on barriers at the start line will be collected and donated to charity.
Clothing storage
Clothing storage is available during the run/walk. Your race number features a tear-off strip for you to attach to your backpack or clothing bag. Do not leave any valuables in your bag as we cannot accept responsibility for valuables lost or stolen.
We no longer offer single-use plastic bags at the bag drop, so please remember to bring your own bag to the event.
Wheelchair information
Racing wheelchair:If you are a racing wheelchair please contact timing@solemotive.com to secure your spot. The racing wheelchair wave will start approximately 10 minutes before the official Half Marathon start – at 7:50am. Please be at the start line no later than 7:40am
Non racing wheelchair:Sole Motive accommodates wheelchairs in our event. If you’re not a Racing Wheelchair Athlete, please start at the back of the final wave in your event.
Will there be an awards ceremony at the end of the event and how will the top 3 place getters be awarded?
Yes, place getters will be awarded based on gun time rather than the adjusted time for each run (net time). Trophies and prizes will be presented to participants post-race.
NOTE: Age group medals will be posted to the Top 3 placegetters in the following age groups 2-3 weeks after the event
Trophies and monetary prizes will be awarded to overall 1st, 2nd, 3rd male and female place getters*.
