    Take on the course around Princes Park at Race 2. Continue your fitness journey from Race 1 at The Zoo, and test yourself at the finish.

     

    Princes Park is transformed as we take in the sunset, complete with live music, delicious food from local food trucks and a Sunset Bar.

    Bring a picnic rug and make a night of it with your friends before the summer ends.

    PRINCES PARK

    General Information

    Age limits

    4km - All children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by a guardian. The child’s guardian must be entered in the event. 

    8km- Participants must be 8 years + on race day to enter the 8k event. 

     

    Start line

    Location: Princes Park, North of Carlton Football Club 

    4km start: 6:30pm

    8km start: 7:00pm

     

    Finish line cut off

    All runners must have crossed the finish line by8:30pm.

     

    Priority start

    Any participant who believes they will place in the top 10 in either the 4K or 8K eventswill need to start at the frontof each race start. 

     

    Participant instructions

    Participant Instructions will be available for download closer to the event.

     

    Drink stations
    There will be a drink station located at approximately the 2.5km mark.

     

    Clothing storage

    Clothing storage is available during the run/walk. Your race number features a tear-off strip for you to attach to your backpack or clothing bag. Do not leave any valuables in your bag as we cannot accept responsibility for valuables lost or stolen. 

     

    We no longer offer single-use plastic bags at the bag drop, so please remember to bring your own bag to the event. 

    Getting there

    Public Transport

    Public Transport is the quickest and easiest way to get to and from the event. Trains and busses operate frequently, dropping you right at the door. The Event Village is North of Ikon Park Stadium.

    BY TRAM No. 19 Tram (City-North Coburg) runs from the city to Royal Parade Walker St / Stop 16, then 3 minutes' walk to the Event Village. 

    BY TRAIN Take the Upfield Line to Royal Park Station, then 13 minute walk to the Event Village. 

    BY BUS Route 123 bus to Walker St / Stop 16, then 3 minute walk to the Event Village 

     

    Car

    Limited parking is available around Princes Park and surrounding streets. Please adhere to parking restrictions and be aware of peak hour traffic congestion. 

    Please allow enough time to park your car and walk to event village before your race. 

     

    Bike  

    Sole Motive will provide plenty of bike parking at the event site. Please make sure to bring your own lock to ensure your bike is secure. 

     

    Will there be an awards ceremony at the end of the event and how will the top 3 place getters be awarded?

    Yes, placegetters will be awarded based on gun time rather than the adjusted time for each run (net time). Medals will be presented to placegetters from the stage post-race.
