Maurten GEL 100 contains energy in the form of a natural hydrogel. Built with six ingredients, the gel has no added colorants, preservatives or flavours. One Maurten GEL 100 contains 25g of carbohydrates. The gel can be used before, during and/or after activity. From a technical perspective, traditional gels are water and carbohydrates simply mixed into syrups. The GEL 100 is different, in that it is a biopolymer matrix filled with a unique blend of fructose and glucose (ratio of 0.8:1) which enables uptake of up to 100 grams of carbohydrates per hour.
